Category 1: Algebra > Inequalities > other

Category 2: Arithmetic > Properties of Integers > Other

**Explanation:** If p and q are positive numbers and p divided by q is less than 1, p must be less than q. Since all of the answer choices contain fractions and we're looking for the answer choice that is greater than 1, we need the one in which the numerator is larger than the denominator. Since we know that p is less than q, (E) is the correct choice: since q must be greater than p, ((q)/(p)) must be greater than 1.
