Those of you waiting for the 12th edition of the Official Guide for GMAT Review...you get to wait a little longer.

I was told last year that the 12th edition would be released before the end of 2008. Now it appears that new books will be available in March. This press release notes the date, as well as a new publisher for the books. I hope that most of you currently preparing for the test will be done with the process by then!

Even if you aren't finished by the time the new edition comes out, it won't make much difference. In each edition I've seen, there is substantial overlap with the previous one. And even when new questions are introduced, they almost always cover the same material. The GMAT just doesn't change that much over time.

Of course, now that you have four or five more months with The Official Guide, it's a great time to pick up your copy of my Guides to the Official Guide!

About the author: Jeff Sackmann has written many GMAT preparation books, including the popular Total GMAT Math, Total GMAT Verbal, and GMAT 111. He has also created explanations for problems in The Official Guide, as well as 1,800 practice GMAT math questions.
