Explanation: The average of a series of consecutive integers is the same as the average of the end points. So the average of the integers from 200 to 400 is the same as the average of 200 and 400, or 300. The average of the integers from 50 to 100 is the same as the average of 50 and 100, or 75. 300 is 225 greater than 75, choice (D).
